Submerged Pumps
Thanks to the special resin which is used to cast the pump components into the casings the sound level is quite low with some 35dBA - especially when you take into regard that a normal conversation between two people usually has 50dBA.
In spite of all this this low sound level can be irritating if it is generated in living-room glass cases or walled-in balconies where resonance effects can take place. Our submerged pumps can solve this problem, because these are working really soundless.
This technology is also the top choice if you want to create illuminated fog cascades emerging from a garden pond, as the pump can be placed into the water.
Generally speaking ALL our small systems are offered in a submerged version. To accomplish this the electronic control box is connected to the pump module by means of a watertight cable. (3 m standard, longer cables on demand).
These devices are identified by the suffix "-sub" (e.g. "tropic-IP65-sub")
Additionally the pump modules are fitted with a floating switch which switches the pump off if the water level is too low - thereby preventing the pump to run dry. If a submerged pump modules is used outdoors - e.g. in a pond you only have to take care that the floater switch can move freely above the pump.
A newly designed pre-filter prevents clogging. A refill of filter wadding is included with all submerged models.
All other conditions like trial operation, guarantees, possibilities of sensor control, accessories apply as for the "standard versions", where this options are described.
